Gas Conditioning and
Processing Training Course

COURSE DESCRIPTION:

This training course covers the basic concepts and techniques necessary to design, specify, and manage gas field production facilities.  It includes a complete and up-to-date overview of gas conditioning and processing technology and provides a clear understanding of the equipment and processes used in common separation and gas treating systems.

The training course will also cover gas dehydration, sweetening, and gas processing operations, and the integration between the individual processing operations will be clarified. The gathering, separation, and final treatment systems for natural gas will be discussed, as well as the concepts of export quality natural gas, field and fiscal measurements error. The products (Natural Gas, Condensate, Commercial Propane, and Commercial Butane, etc.) specifications and the processes available to condition the gas in order to meet these requirements will also be covered.

COURSE OBJECTIVES:

By the end of the course, participants will be able to:

COURSE AUDIENCE:

This course is suitable and will especially benefit:

COURSE METHODOLOGY:

Facilitated by an experienced TRAINER, our program will be conducted as a highly interactive work session (as opposed to lectures), encouraging participants to share their own experiences and apply their learnings to real-life situations. Each delegate will receive an extensive reference manual, as well as case studies, while worked-out solutions will be handed out to the delegates on the conclusion of group discussions. This training course is designed to be a hands-on, exciting & learning experience.

FAQs

1. What is the objective of this Gas Field Production and Processing course?

The course aims to provide participants with a clear understanding of how to design, specify, and manage gas field production facilities, including gas conditioning and processing operations.

Yes, participants will learn about common separation equipment and gas treating systems, along with how different processing operations are integrated within a facility.

Gas dehydration removes water vapor from natural gas, while sweetening removes harmful gases like hydrogen sulfide (H₂S) and carbon dioxide (CO₂) to meet safety and quality standards.

Yes, the course explains export quality requirements and the processes used to ensure that natural gas and related products meet commercial specifications.

Basic knowledge of oil and gas operations is recommended, but advanced expertise in gas processing is not mandatory.
