The purpose of the training is to present a learner with a simulated construction environment populated with work tasks and settings for hazard identification, if present. Participants in this virtual reality scenario will have access to a virtual construction site. Users face unique hazards randomized from millions of possible workplace configurations and must appropriately control the environment. The user is assessed on their awareness and hazard recognition as they peruse the construction site and attempt to perform work tasks. Once the employee has finished their assessment, they leave the construction site. The worker can then reenter the construction site where items are colored red, yellow, or green to indicate which hazards they identified correctly and can access the information to review errors. The training score is a combination of correctly identified hazards, ignored hazards, and incorrectly identified non-hazards.
